Us

Thoughts run aimlessly
throughout my mind.
They make up a true,
but confusing rhyme.

Thinking of good,
and now bad times.
Times when you were,
and now not mine.

I think of when we
used to smile so much,
and feel so much better
from just a touch.

I could see that any
type of joke I told
would make you laugh
whether stupid or old.

That night I said what I could
to make you stay,
but everything I said
seemed to turn you further away.

I tried to let you know
that I had been trying.
Obviously you did not believe,
so I left, both of us crying.

We both vowed nothing
to ever come between us,
trying to show our love,
and gain more trust.

We said that if ever a problem,
together we would stay,
and work anything out,
no matter in what way.

This poem has come from
deep within my heart.
I pray to God,
do not let it fall apart.

We can have a wonderful future
between us two.
One thing I need to say now though is,
I Love You!
