Remembrance of Me (Closure)
- my mothers poem to me -

One solitude rose,
Giving genuine love at the end of eighteen.
Years of joys, tears, and fears,
but the time for mothering a little boy
has come and gone, but not forgotten.

To shed a tear,
to touch your face
with never-ending love.
The little boy lives on inside,
playing in my mind forever.
I see those smiles of unconditional love.

I wake and see the single lonely rose,
and realize that it is me,
but that this life must renew itself,
I must let go, but still hold on.

For God knows my heart and feelings,
for He knows that now is the time
that I must let go and let Him lead my son
into the man he must become.

For he will always be my litle one, my son!

'written at a time of pain and sorrow in my life, when my son left home for the last time, at age eighteen.'
